so, i got around to loading xp pro (corperate, home business) and everything went great...except for two things. First thing was my yamaha burner and i got that fixed (dma problem). second thing was winamp. Winamp seems to just close itself down, either durring enqueing songs or durring playback, it doesnt crash, it just closes. Please, i went thru the ee and ce departments of my school (UF if you are interested, obviously not that great of a ee or ce school) and no one has an idea, i need help. Not even ms with their "suberb" online tech help for "licensed" users could help me (I have the option of calling to get help and..."uh, that's wierd, send an email to winamp, have a nice day...click"). I have installed winxp on 5 comps in the last 3 months and my computer is the only one causing probs. here is my rig:
300 watt ps
800 thunder (not oc'd)
epox 8kta+ mobo, onboard sound
512 micro ram
30 gig maxtor 7200 drive
nvidia tnt 32 agp
netgear nic
acer 50x cdrom
yamaha 2200ez cd-rw (max 20x write)
zip (from like 1998)
I have already flashed my bios with the most recent fileo and added the firmware for any hardware that might need it. so, any ideas?
