Win9X equivalent to "net send" from WinNT?

Is there a command I can type in to message someone on my home network? Without WinPopUP, or any sort of 3rd party messenger (i.e. AIM, Yahoo messenger).

I know Win2K/NT, can message each other w/ "net send"

talking about in DOS prompt in WIN9X? Here it is.

c:\SEND "text" LANID

We're using novell.

Is "send" a built in command? I searched my c: drive for send.* but came up with nothing. I would like to send from a Win2K machine to a Win9X machine. Is that possible?

The SEND command that I mentioned is on my Z drive. I believed it should come from your network software.
