I have had it with my Win98SE (Fat32), I keep getting windows protection errors, I have tried to do the scanreg /restore, same thing happens. So, I would like to wipe out the Win98SE, but NOT format it. I think I can just del Windows. Would that work? I just want to retain what is needed to boot into WinXP(on NTFS partition).
I know the boot.ini is kept under the root dir, and I believe that in order for WinXP to work properly, ntdetect and ntldr must also be there. Just to clarify, in the beginning, I first loaded Win98 and then WinXP. Thanx in advance.
