Win98Se Shutdown error

Hi, I need major help. I installed Win98se on my AMD K63-450, Asus P5ab mobo, and when I click start>shutdown, gave me this error:
"An exception OE has occurred at 0028:C26071D4 in Vxd. This was called from 0028:C182C8D8 in Vxd."
Any suggestions?

I know there are some patches on windowsupdate for shutdown problems. If you are running a new IBM HD, definately do an update.

If that doesn't resolve your problem, you can do start ==> run ==> msconfig ==> "general" ==> "advanced" ==> "don't do quick shutdown" (dunno about the correct translation of those last three, since I have a Dutch windows).
