I just wanted to get your attention because I didn't know how to put this question into just a few words for the title. I don't know what you call this feature but I hate it and really want to turn it off. When you are on a site with a search engine or any little window that asks you to type in some info and you drag the cursor over the arrow, a little window pops up below the window you are about to enter info into and displays a list of previous information already entered in that same window. How the heck do you turn that off? I recently reinstalled windows and it didn't do it before but now it's doing it. Any suggestions? Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Thanks.

Autocomplete? To turn it off (IE 5.x) go to Tools, Internet Options, Content tab, Autocomplete button. Uncheck whatever you don't want saved. Please post a screenshot if that isn't it. Autocomplete would look like this:

________________ <-- text box
Athlon 700
Arctic Circle
BX motherboard
... <-- bunch of things
...
pr0n you dont want people to see 😉
...
...

All but the 1st line of my beautiful art would be previous searches.
