win98se install - cdrom missing

Hi all,
Need a little help

I have just loaded win 98se on a cusl2-c.

Odd thing though - the cd rom (teac cd-532e) or magicspin 50x doesn't show up under my computer even though the motherboard sees it during boot up.

I have tried switching out the drive and making sure that the position of the drive on the cable matches the jumper on the back. No fix yet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

if the drives are on the seconadary channel... try one on the primary ide channel and see if windows recoginizes the drive. if it does... i would think maybe the ide cable is funky.

bacillus. thanks for the driver tip. I downloaded the katest and installe d them. I moved both the cdrom and hd onto the same channel everythings ok.
