win98se and win2k server questions...

My computer is comming with windows98se however I am being told by my work that i need to install win2k or winNT before I can log on into the server network. I have a few questions.

Is there a major difference between the two? Should I keep win98se and use NT for when I log on?

Is there a way to possibly get rid of windows98se and make win2k my os or do I have to do a dual boot system?

Also, I don't have all the drivers and setup disks so if one os replace another, will it delete all my installed software and drivers?

thanks in advance...

It's up to you.
You can dual boot he system and have 98 and Nt or 98 & 2K.
You can "upgrade" to NT or 2K
You can do a ne winstall and reformat the drive and install 2k or NT. I personall would dual boot 2k and 98 or just go with 2k depending on what you need to do

thanks...ideally i'd like to have just one operating system. I didnt know that you could upgrade from win98se to win2k...I guess i'll search around for that...
