Win98SE and rebooting after 6 hours

Why is it that Win98SE starts to act flakey after around 6 hours? Is it poor coding on MSFT part?

Even Microsofts own testing showed it needed a reboot after about 8 hours of normal office type usage. Its a POS operating system, upgrade to a real OS and you'll be pleasantly suprised...
