win98SE and dual floppies

i just installed windows 98 SE onto a computer with dual floppy drives. the computer used to have win2k on it, but had to be changed because of the software it will be running. both of the floppy drives worked fine in win2k and they both worked for a while in 98SE, but now neither of them will work. they will light up and try to read a disk, but then will say there is no disk in the drive. i have tried many disks, so i know it was not a bad disk. any ideas of what i could try or what it might be?

thanks

"worked for a while but stopped working" you say.

try booting with a bootable floppy or drop to dos and try reading one.

Floppy drives burn out pretty frequently in my experiences.

thanks for the response

it turned out it was a system resources problem. I had to disable a few things and now they work great
