Upgraded from Win98SE, where ATX power-supply readily shut-off on shutdown. [ABit IT5H mb?]
With WinME, shutdown now always halts with ye olde classick screen: "it's safe to turn off your computer now". ME refuses to do the next step of turning the PS off. My instinct is to re-do the "upgrade" [ha ha ha, good joke there, MS], but I'll solicit other suggestions first.
Gawd, this li'l pigME went to market too soon: I'm sooo tired of trying to find old features/options that ME has buried under a "new user experience"; ME has slowed program start-ups so much that this old 233MHz editting system has barely acceptable delays (which weren't noticable under SE).
________
In Win98SE, Outlook Express refused to start; hence upgrade. OE Still doesn't work... perhaps I should just back ME out.
