I have HD with 2 partions. On the first one i have win98 with FAT32 .when i try to install NT4
on the second partion ,i have problem with the file system (FAT32).

so how can i setup NT4 with win98?

I thought you had to have a small partition for the boot sector that consisted of FAT. Then you could keep Win 98 on the FAT 32 partition and NT 4.0 on another FAT partition.

NT4 doesn't work w/ FAT32. It will work w/ FAT16 and NTFS. Since you are duel booting w/ win98, you probably will want to use FAT16 since win98 can't read NTFS partitions.

You need a small FAT16 partition on which NT can store its bootloader (4MB or so should be plenty). In most cases, this partition needs to be located within the first 2GB of space on the drive. I believe it also needs to be a primary partition.
