Win98 or Win98SE?

Whats the difference with the two? I have Win98 OEM version that came with the computer right now, Im wondering if I should upgrade to SE? 😕

I know for a fact that SE includes Internet Connection Sharing software, so if you have one IP but more than one machine you want to connect to the internet, you no longer have to buy Wingate or Sygate. Of course, you do have to buy SE, so the savings don't really add up. 😉 Other than that, I don't really know. There's probably a lot of patches that you may not have, and prolly some other goodies as well.

My family's computer (as opposed to the one in my dorm room) has been runnin Win 98 first edition since before it was released (beta-ed for MS and got 98 free). I have seen no reason to upgrade from 98 to 98SE unless you happen to find some software that absolutely requires 98SE and will not run on 98. As far as the patches, anything necessary can be downloaded from the windowsupdate website.
