A friend of mine has a windows 98 machine with a WMP11v4 linksys PCI card. The wireless card connects to a linksys access point which is then connected to a linksys router. There is a laptop that can access the network and internet just fine.
I am able to do the following:
Ping the router
Login to the router (and access point)
Get a DHCP assigned address (router provides IP addresses, DHCP is turned off on the wireless access point)
Access network shares on an XP machine.
I can NOT do the following:
Ping a DNS server
Ping a site on the internet (ping www.cisco.com)
Run traceroute
Any ideas?
