Win98: IE 5.0 is clicking at me...

What is up with that? Earlier today, Windows Explorer went screwy on me and refused to View as Web Page (I like my thumbnail previews), and now IE is making a click noise whenever I click a link. I didn't see any options to explain this, so does anyone know what's going on?

In Win2000 CtrlPanel, Sounds and Multimedia Properties, there are a bunch of sounds that can be edited. What you are talking about is the Start Navigation sound under Windows Explorer. I assume W98 has a similar thing. Just go there and remove the sound. I like it now because IE5.5 doesn't present the hourglass symbol while the page is loading so unless you look at the loading bar or hear the click sound when you have clicked a URL you don't know if it "took" or not.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, BudB. It musta got turned on when I was trying to resolve that other problem I was having with Windows Explorer.
