Win98 directories all sort in reverse?

Some time ago my directories when I open Explorer all started sorting in reverse. Instead of the directory box showing subdirs then a bunch of files from a-z, it shows files from z-a and then subdirs from z-a. I can't find a setting that affects this, does anyone know of one? I'd like to get them back in a-z order.

thx,

just for fun, try right click...arrange icons..then do "by size"..THEN, do it again, but choose "by name" and it should restore it to a-z.

That is not a bug! It's a "feature"! 😛

All you have to do is sort by name again. Every time you sort by any type, it will swap between ascending and descending. Once its sorted to your liking, click VIEW -> FOLDER OPTIONS -> VIEW (Tab at the top of the window) -> LIKE CURRENT FOLDER

Hope this helps!

If you've got Explorer setup like me with Detailed View, all you have to
do is click the Menu (Name) Bar once, then again.....
