win98 boot help!

I need a Win98 boot disc...but the thing is, I don't really have a functioning A drive at the time. Is there a way to use a CD to boot it, and how would I make it? Having the boot disc isn't as important as being able to get to the DOS prompt...if I could just get to that, then I would be able to maybe reinstall it (I have a copy of the Win98 CD on my hard drive, along with a CD of ME). I know that during start up, one of the F keys will take me to a screen for a command prompt, but what happened was, my computer crashed during a re-installation of 98, so that's causing all the problems, and it won't let me get to the screen with those options. Can anyone help? Thanks

download a bootdisk from bootdisk.com and save it to cd, set the bios to boot from cd first. However, You may be able to do a dirty install on top of the current install from the cab files, if not, if that does not work, you will have to reformat.

I'm not sure, but if you power up with the Win Cd in the tray, doesn't it ask you if you want to "Boot Off of CD?" I thought it did.

Well, we tried booting straight from a ME CD, which didn't work. Also, since the A drive is doing all kinds of weird stuff, we burned the start up discs onto a CD, which still didn't work...so, I have no more ideas...
