ALT+CNTRL+DEL Background that is. I have literally about 12 programs running and when I boot up, it gives me 79% free. Problem is, a number of them when I close them give me BSODs(Not the systray and whatever). And yes, I have a piece of sh** gateway computer. Only I few I can close and the rest, blah. And that only frees up 3% (I have 128MB RAM, looking to add another 128) Any suggestions?

go to start-->run and type msconfig. go to the startup tab...that is the list of all the programs that automatically start with windows. eliminate the programs (uncheck the box) that you don't want to start automatically. one known resource hog is the microsoft word (or office) find fast, if that is checked you should uncheck it.
