win98 add old max hd for old games how dual boot or boot old hd

Hi

have a computer one year old win xp 1.9 512 ram cdrom dvd geoforge 3 sb live system.
i couldn't get old games to play
i took old maxtor hd i bought 1998 and added to new computer
new computer recognizes the driver as drive f.
I want to play old dos games on this old drive.
but...how do i get it to work?
i went into bios f10 but don't see any area that would say
to change the boot to the new F drive.

can you please help me?
and can I do this?

also win 98 drivers i download for all hardware want to open up into the C:\ cab folder. I have to stop it before it goes there.
Winzip is automatically opening up the d/l file and trying to put the files in the C;\ drive but I want them to go into the F drive.

First what kinda mobo are you running? Second are the jumpers set right on the drive? and also if im correct you cant install games on slave drives ( not sure ive had problems with this so i gave up on it hehe ) otherwise just check the jumpers and make sure your booting off the right drive that you want i.e my bios says
boot device 1-floppy - runs first
boot device 2-cd rom - runs second
boot device 3-harddrive1 - runs third
boot device 4-harddrive2 - runs forth
