win95 disks or OS on floppy

HOW CAN I GET THESE?????

ok, here's the problem...my friend gave me a laptor that has a FUBAR install of win95. it's an old NEC laptop (586 100mhz, 8meg ram, roughly 500meg hard drive, etc...) and i'd like to tinker around with it. it doesn't have a cd-rom drive so i need an os that can be loaded from flopies (it doesn't have to be windows...). any suggestions?

I had this same problem, what I got was an adapter for the hard drive so I could mount it in a desktop machine temporarily and copy over the install package.

It's cheap and comes in handy once in a while.

Does win95 function at all? if so, you could try the DCC (Direct Cable Connection) feature.
Hook'er up to your desktop, copy the win cd over to your laptop hard drive (if space permits), and go from there.

win95 will not load. there are some major problems (or so it seems).
