Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my WIN8 Pro. Trying to upgrade gfx drivers to latest catalysts, but every time I got BSOD during installation and computer is restarting. Memtest passed, driver sweeper / fusion used, tried to uninstall MS WDM driver prior to installation. No success. Any ideas? My last resort is to try new system restore option and re-configure the OS. Something I would like to avoid if you ask me.

I am using the new MS OS from its launch and I am under impression that early adopters are now beta testers. Maybe I am exaggerating, but more time I am spending with the system, more pissed I am. I got used to ModernUI and other features, but sometimes I fell like I am back to WIN95 (digging in registry to change desktop icon spacing). Thinking on going back to WIN7 and wait until SP1 is released or end of the next year to give the OS time to grow up.

The systems specs: i7-2600K@stock, Asrock Z77 Extrem4-M 1.40, Saphire Radeon 7850 2GB, 16GB RAM, ADATA S511 120GB SSD, 4x1,5TB HDD

regards
Marcin

I just recently upgraded to a 7850 card on my Windows 8 machine with out any issue. What steps are you taking to update your drivers?

The steps I took were the following. Uninstalled catalyst control center and rebooted the machine. Deleted any remaining folders. Downloaded the latest driver package for Windows 8. Installed. Rebooted. Everything was working after that.

You might get more help posting to the video card forums.
