Win8.1 question

What features do you mean?

Nvidia still hasn't restored all driver features in windows 8/8.1 especially with its surround support, so I wouldn't expect it to otherwise have improved in other areas but it might have.

things like dithering for 16 bit color, old fog types, unusual texel center coordinates, and w-buffering. i had heard that 16 bit color wasnt available in Windows8/8.1 so i was thinking maybe 16 bit color apps were forced into using 32 bit color by the win 8/8.1 drivers.

one more question... is AMD better in regards to old features than nvidia (other than shadow buffers) which was an nv feature)?
