I need to install I8kfangui and the fanio.sys will not install because it is not signed. How do I get around this?

Hit F8 at boot to get your various Windows boot options. One of the options will allow you to load unsigned drivers. This won't be a permenant fix since you will have to use this boot option anytime you want unsigned drivers to work, but it will work for temporary use.

I'm sure there is a permenant work around but I'm not aware of it.

I gave up when i was doing a RAID setup with a rosewill card with a JMicron controller, windows 7 wouldn't accept the unsigned drivers and the install would crash. So i just installed x86 and ordered some right angled SATA cables and used the onboard RAID, which the drivers just were there. I spent 6 hours trying to get those unsigned drivers to work...on board took 30 minutes.

Just don't bother with unsigned drivers...

Dell has the bad batch nvidia GPU's that MUST stay cool. Therefore I must install i8kfangui to keep the fan on. It simply will not install. What is the work around?

Riva tuner? That "should" give you direct fan access and will work on Win7-64. I've been using it for ages. Worth trying anyways.
