Win7ult_64 memory amount after reboot

Question is rather academic in nature: after a new OS installation on a formatted disk (not upgrade or repair system) and restart the same one occupied about 250 megabytes less by TaskManager. The old installation from the beginning occupied about 1GB, now 750 megabytes. There is everything same there was before, antivirus in the background, updates, SP1, same hw, etc. Does anyone have an explanation or insight?
thanks for the any advice
Peter

there's something called Superfetch, give it some time, and it will start occupying more by preloading usually used apps in the memory so that they open faster when you open them

don't worry about it
