Win7 - WMP controls on taskbar?

In XP and Vista you could minimize to the little control bar on the task bar in windows. Is there any way to get this option back in Win 7? Or would I have to revert to a older WMP? Seems weird MS got rid of this option in win 7 🙁

but you know you can mouse over it and have controls? And the jump list has a couple more controls

If WMP 12 works OK, and you simply want to put it on the Taskbar for one click launch, just go to the program icon, right click and select "Pin to Taskbar." Mine is that way and it works just fine - just like the old Quick Launch area in Vista or XP
