Win7 with intel GMA 4500

More specifically with a dell studio 1537, gma 4500

It seems that vista does not have this problem, for me. Vista is running and old driver 7.15.10.1576. Vs Windows 7's newer driver. And windows 7 will not install the vista driver. Says incompatible os.


Anyone have any luck with win7 on a gma 4500? Make sure you try purple palace before saying yes. Because i have been running this thing for about a month and have not seen this problem until today.



btw win7 im running a newer driver 8.15.10.1620 driver date 12/17/2008, and having the issues

As far as not being able to install the Vista drive, did you try putting it in Compatibility mode?

The driver installer? I didnt even check to see if it had one, i think it may, but i tried installing the driver through device manger.

sweet that is indeed the magic driver. Setting as vista and using the installer worked! Thanks!

man that is BS! New driver has same corruption. WTF, willi be stuck with an old driver, which doesnt have some features enabled btw.
