Win7 Windows UpDate Notification Icon missing in SYS-Tray

Ever since MS uploaded KB3035583 Win10 Upgrade Option.

I elected to Hide the KB3035583 UpDate but my Windows UpDate Notification Icon disappeared.

No big deal as I can click on the Windows UpDate Icon in the Start Menu ; but it would be nice see the notification Icon when MS UpDates are released.

I'm not the only one to notice this - LOL

Clearing the Icon Notification Cache might FIX this but haven't tried it yet as all other Notifications work and wonder if it's just a MS ploy for users to UpGrade to WinX, even if I don't want it.

I did not install these MS Window UpDates: KB971033, KB3035583, KB2952664, KB3022345, KB3068708, KB3021917, KB3050265, KB2990214, KB3080149.

Go Figure?

Guess this should have been posted in OPERATING SYSTEMS - No feedback here.

If you select to customize the notification area, what is selected for Windows Update?

I may bee seeing this as well, but I would never have noticed. I usually just notice when the shut down button wants to install some before shutting down.

Windows Update is configured to "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them".

System Tray customize shows "Windows Update/Windows installed new updates" as "Only show notifications" This notice is what is not working - No icon appears to remind you that updates are available.

I read elsewhere on line about this issue but there doesn't seem to be any solutions as it really is no big deal when all you have to do is open Windows Update to see what updates are available - It just nags me as it has always worked prior to the last set of updates that emphasizes WinX and I don't want any part of it for now until I may elect to go for WinX.

Fuck Win Defender Update notices - I'm a Windows Fan since Win3 and I know what I'm doing abd no puppy when it comes to Windows.
