Win7 virtual Xp mode and i7-2600K CPU

I consider buying a new CPU i7-2600K or i7-2600. I have a question if Windows 7 Virtual XP mode works on Intel i7-2600K CPU? Will USB device "mounting/adding" work in Virtual XP mode on i7-2600K? I ask because I have read that i7-2600K does not have "Intel VT-d" and "Intel® Trusted Execution Technology" (however it has VT-x). I also have a question if abovementioned "Intel Trusted Execution Technology" is used in Windows 7 x64 and is it useful?

PS. I was no sure whether to post this topic here or in Hardware/CPU.

Windows 7 XP Mode will work just fine on the 2600K, the two features you mentioned won't affect the operation.

The lack of Intel Trusted Execution Technology in the 2600K(and apparently all processors released since Nehalem!) seems to be a non-issue after a quick google found this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...indows-7/b029f36b-652c-4007-93c2-ce39785d69da

Can't exactly tell you much more because before I came to this post I thought Intel Trusted Execution Technology was a competing feature of AMD's NX bit... which it isn't and AMD actually calls it something different.
