** UPDATE ** fixed.
I'm a WIN7 noob and just trying to set this whole thing up to look like it did on Vista. Meaning the quicklaunch toolbar is next to the start button - that part I figured out. But in doing that somehow my currently open programs aren't showing on my taskbar. It had things pinned before but I unpinned a bunch but that doesn't mean new open programs shouldn't show up...
You can see Chrome is open but is not showing on my taskbar (it's there in quicklaunch so ignore that). Main taskbar is to the right of it, nothing there no matter what programs I open. Why? I opened the taskbar properties to show my current settings. I can only alt-tab to scroll through my open programs.
EDIT>> when I try to pin Chrome or any other icon to taskbar, it accepts it but still doesn't show on the taskbar. I'm beginning to think this isn't the toolbar/taskbar... but how did that happen? I see no other option to show a taskbar.
