Win7 Still support software rendering with CPU core(s)?

Just wondering, does the RTM have the ability to rendering dx9/dx10 (or any other graphical api) with the cpu?

I was thinking this may work great at playing old video games (either in Win7 mode or Win7xp mode). Anyone have thoughts on this, is it still in win7 does it work in xp mode?

Hmm after reading some of this it sounds like game has to be made with this tech 🙁

You can install virtual box with XP and run 3d applications on the video hardware installed with Win7. Not sure why you would need to though as most everything that is dx8/9 should work.
