Win7: only allow mouse or keyboard to wake monitor?

I have monitor set to turn off after x minutes idle. But I have some old programs that wake the monitor. Is there a setting such as registry edit to set windows 7 so only a mouse or keyboard input will wake the monitor?

Sounds like you have Wake on Lan turn on.
