Look in services.msc(Start-Run-services.msc) for the Readyboost service. Start it, then setting it to automatic should get it working. That's no guarantee your drive can be used for Readyboost, but it should get the service running.

thanks for help. I looked in services and cant find it what would it say readyboost? or something else.

Try the following.

Close the properties menu of the Flash drive.

Go to the Services and switch Off the Superfetch Service.

Wait a minute and then turn it on again and check if you have the ReadyBoost available in the Flash Drive properties.

BTW once yo have 1GB of RAM (or more) the ReadyBoost does not functionally contribute to any significant Boost.

Ok, sorry. I was looking at Vista and assumed Win7 would be the same. It looks like Readyboost is part of the Superfetch service now. Try doing the above, but with Superfetch and see if it works.
