Question Win7: Have bigger hd for laptop. How to clone old laptop hd?

JEDI

Lifer
old hd = 120gig ssd and is close to 90% full.
new hd is a 240gig sd from one of my old rigs.

being a laptop, I don't have a 2nd hard drive slot to stick the 2nd hd in like I would do in a desktop.

So how to do it? and please recommend a free cloning software.
thx

Startech USB3-to-SATA wire from Newegg for $10, and a free download of Macrium Reflect Free?
I have a usb to sata cable for mechanical hd and uses 2 usb ports.
but I think it's a usb2 cable.

also, my laptop has 1 usb port on the side and 1 on the back.
the split usb connector isn't long enough to reach both usb ports.
thus I can only get power from one of the usb ports.

apparently, 1 usb port is enough to power a ssd drive.
anyway, I can see the system reserve partition (100megs) but I cant see the main partition (240gigs) ???

The software you use to clone the drive will overwrite the existing partitions on the 240GB drive to match the partitions on the original drive, probably with the option to expand the partition from 120 to 240GB.
