I noticed something very odd on a new install of Win7 SP1 - I did a defrag after everything had been installed and updated (500GB HDD), and I also had my USB flash drive connected. I started the defrag UI, selected C drive and clicked on 'defragment disk' (I realise it would eventually do it automatically, I just wanted to get it done once straight away for ideal performance).
I came back to it later to find that the defrag UI listed my flash drive as freshly defragmented after C drive and the reserved partitions.
Err... not good. I wonder if auto-defrag would do anything like that? I'm guessing not because when I plug the same flash drive into my own Win7 PC, the defrag UI lists the drive's last defrag date as 'Never'.
