Win7 cosmetic glitch

I booted my Win7 RC1 machine today, and it said "update operation x of 1462", for about 10-15 seconds.
Then it said preparing windows, then it booted to the desktop.
Strangely, there is a red X over the network icon, but it says "internet access" when I hover the mouse over it, and I am connected to the internet right now.

Strange, eh?
 
My (non-RC1, full release) does the same thing if it can't connect to my remote server quick enough. I think it attempts to connect before the network is ready. After about 20 minutes, the icon shows connected and corrects itself. All the while I can access the server as soon as boot up is complete.
