Well, it seems that the Win7 designers screwed up. If you view control panel as icons, there's no way to get to disk management, by navigating. Administrative tools is missing a link.
If you do "View by category", click "System and Security", and then look underneath "Administrative Tools", there is a blue link titled "Create and format hard disk partitions", that lead to Disk Management.
If you do "View by small icon", click "Administrative Tools", then there is a list of links to things, but Disk Management is conspiciously missing. Shouldn't it be there?
Thankfully, you can still click the Start button, move the mouse over "Computer", and right-click and select Manage, and then Disk Management is right there. But if you didn't know that shortcut, and you had Control Panel set to icon view, then you might spend all day looking for Disk Management and never find it.
