Win7 and "My Documents" ???

It use to be in WinXP that moving "My Documents" and all of its contents was a simple move.

I am not finding this to be the case in Win7.

Those of you who want the default location for your documents, music, pictures, etc. to on a different partition other then C:\ how are you going about doing this?

just add it to a library. I keep all my music/pictures/docs on my second drive and 'link' to it using the libraries feature. It's like using partitions to save your junk when windows slits it's wrists, except it accounts for your primary drive going all 187

Right click documents on start menu, properties, change location.

Do you even use Windows 7? Because what you just said doesn't work in Windows 7, and that's the whole point of his post. I believe it worked like that in Vista... he's talking about 7 here.

go to:
C:\Users\yourUsername
then right-click your 'My Documents' folder -> Properties -> Location -> Move...

it is still is movable, and in windows 7 move more means as in "set new my documents location, and keep link to old"
