Win7 64bit Ultimate - switching between wireless & copper

still having this issue - when coming out of standby connection to internet is ok, but connecting to mapped drives is about a 70% failure rate needing a reboot regardless of wired/wireless

also, on bootup 50% of the time the machine tries to connect to "unidentified network" which i believe is because of a vmware install on this machine, but is there anyway i can get it so the machine connects to the shares and also using the correct "network"? this is the only win7 machine i have and is the only machine that has problems like this. all the others connect just fine using whatever connections they have.
