Question win7 64 bit bsod ndis.sys ndis.sys+280a

when i try to upload file to telegram desktop , the bsod occurs, can reproduce it many times , once i uninstalled ateros internet drivers and other connectivity drivers, it worked, but again got same ndis.sys when trying to upload to telegram desktop, i drag file to telegram desktop then in few seconds ndis.sys bsod happens.

i reinstalled atheros now and tried to reproduce the bsod, this time it dint come and uploaidng file in telegram desktop - bsod dint occur, but i am not sure , what else should check ..
i did ram test , passed 2 test , did for a hour or so .no errors.

Sounds like a software issue of some sort, though it could also be drive or memory related, as you were right to run memtest to check. But I should ask, which memtest did you run? And when you say 2 tests, did you mean passes, or just tests? Just running 2 tests may not be thorough enough.

Also, what is the systems hardware specs? And did you check the SMART health of the drive(s)?

thank you @Shmee , yes it passed the mem test ran in when it says to select windows and timer goes on , i am not sure how much time it ran , i slept actually ,when woke up it was ok i guess, i dint see anything wrong . smart of the drive i am getting uncorrectable sector count was 4 before then few days after reached 6 then now 9, 2 days back .i ran chckdisk for that drive, it repaired it , after i reinstalled atheros network , i dint see the ndis bsod yet

btw there is no c1 loadunload cycle parameter listed in everest or crsytal disk info for any drive i have .what could be the reason ?

also want to add this - 3 seagates , all of them 160gb , one of them is pipeline seagate, i get knocks in it when delete a file or when access the drive or click a shortcut to that drive , so i read that it might have that advanced power management apm abled .so then came across reading about load/unload cycles , but i dint see anything related to this in crystal disk info or everest monitor smart . i see only power cycle count, start stop count ,nothing about load /unload. this pipeline is st3160316cs -only this drive have apm feature ,other 2 doenst .

i got the bsod again , same ndis.sys when uploading files to telegram desktop , i tried to upload file in telegram in safe mode with networking , it worked, no bsod happen in safemode with networking , any ideas ?

Sounds like given the age of these Seagate drives, along with the reported un-correctable errors and you having to run Chkdsk, the problem could very well be one or more of the drives. That said, if by memtest you are talking about the Windows built in version, that is not very thorough, and I would recommend downloading and booting memtest86+ instead, or something similar.

If you haven't already though, I would recommend backing up any important data to a NEW drive, and probably replacing the current drives with an SSD.

when i disabled avast for 1 hour , and started to upload - drag the file from drive to desktop telegram and waiting for ndis bsod - this time it dint come , even now a file is being uploaded to telegrm desktop . and in safemode ,avast wasnt there , uploading to desktop telegram dint cause ndis bsod . other searches in google does say avast ndis aint working well , some problem with webshield or something, could you please help me in this, i dont want to be without antivirus , this is the only free one i have .

Ah, yeah it could be an Avast software issue. I don't know how to troubleshoot Avast on Windows 7 really, it's been a while since I used either. My recommendation would honestly be to build a new system at this point, given the age of it. If you cannot afford a new build, you should at least buy an SSD and put Windows 10 or Linux on it, so that you can retire the old Seagate drives. Remember that Windows 10 comes with Defender, which is decent as basic protection. Probably safer than running Windows 7 at this point, even with Avast.

thank you , yes saving on it but i am afraid if my pixma ip2770 , canon lide scanner woudl run in win 10 or not , also i just have 7gb ram, there are some lite win 10 versions availble, i do have installed in a drive but not put it my computer, use it only as emergency . but is it ok to use as main drive , the lite custom win 10 ?
also i like to play counterstrike old game

There may be some light, custom versions of Windows 10 out there, but honestly you can tweak Windows 10 pretty well so that anything that can run 7 can run 10, at least reasonably well. With apps like Winaerotweaker for instance. Others may know some other neat tweaks or tools.

Which CS are you talking about? It should run on steam, yes? Are we talking 1.6 or Source? Both should work in Windows 10.

also i like win 7 UI , i guess win 10 UI can be changed to look like win 7
