Win32 appilcation error

Helping a friend out

After downloading pictures online and saving in them in My pictures, she is unable to open them afterwards.

Getting this error C:/mypictures/oi.art is not a valid Win32 application.
This is not unique to this site. Is there a patch for this ? Or may be use a different Browser ?

OS: WinME, Browser IE 5.0.
 
if I remember correctly .art is associated with aol's browser, I couldn't use them in ie or netscape. This could be the reason, if she doesn't have aol installed, and she doesn't have a program that can read these types of files. Have you tried opening them in paint?
