Everytime i boot up, i get the error message "Invalid Application Key" with an OK button underneath it. I can hit ok and windows is fine, but when i try to download large files from the net, larger than 10mb, after the download is finished, the file is actually much smaller about 1-2mb. It changes everytime i download it, once it i s 1.2mb another it is 1.6mb.

I don't know whats going on can someone please help me?
 
Have you applied SP2? If yes or no, apply it. If that doesn't solve it, look for the latest hot fixes for 2000. There are a bunch and sp3 is right around the corner. Also if you're not on IE 6 yet, try installing that and all the latest patches for that too.
