Hello Everyone,

I really need some help with this issue and if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

On one of my win2k3 boxes, I have just added a new USB 2.0 External Hard Drive. (Western Digital - 250G)

As soon as I connect, Win2k3 crashes, (blue screen) and then performs a dump.

I have previously installed a USB 2.0 PCI card which I am using to connect the external hard drive to.

Regardless of the USB 2.0 pci card, I have tried the USB 1.0 on board and I get the same issue.

If anyone has run into this issue, please help as I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for all the help in advance,

Take care.

Doesn't the blue screen still provide some debugging information?

Have you checked for updated drivers?
Have you tried the onboard USB after uninstalling the PCI card and its drivers (if it uses non-Microsoft drivers)?
