Just got a system setup last night and had winme installed on the hd ( mistake? ) but now I'm reading all this post on how winme sucks ... should I

-reformat and install win2k (worth the trouble?)
-install win2k over winme and have it dual boot (good/bad idea? )
-keep winme as is
tia
ls

for dual boot ... all I have to do is put the win2k cd in, install the os on a diff. partition under fat32 ... and it should work right? any 'gotchas' doing this install?

ls

You can dual boot with them on the same partition. Just click "New Install" instead of "Upgrade" when installing. They can be both on the same partition, I've done it before and ran it without a problem for a year. Win98 is in the WINDOWS folder and Win2K is in the WINNT folder. The only thing is they share some of the same files, like System Info and stuff. Just get a registry cleaner after install and you'll be able to tweak each OS.
