Win2k + win9x networking = slooowww

hi all, I'm on win2k now and I have it networked with two win9x machines..the network is slow as a turtle...win2k to win2k is fast, win9x to win9x is also fast..but not when the two are mixed..
my friggin 100base network takes over 30 minutes to transfer 30 megs. (100 base lights on switch on). file sharing is only bounded to netbui here. is it a bug in win2k? thanks for any advice

Do you have TCP/IP installed? Try file sharing over that instead of NetBEUI and see what happens.

Just a suggestion.

Use TCP dood! Forget the other protocols. My win98 to win2k is fast as fast can be.
