I am running windows 2k pro. and my brother is running win98 (1st) and how would i go about making this ICS(internet connection sharing) work? Current status as of now....i went to this site www.wown.com and it's great help all in all but it doesnt specifically tell me what to do with each of the OS's.

thanks for your time and efforts.

enable the ICS on the server machine for the network adapter that connects to the internet. Now usually the second NIC (for your LAN) will be assigned an IP and subnet. Go to your 98 machine and manually set the IP, subnet mask accordingly, use your server ip as gateway, and specify a DNS server.

One more thing how would i go about finding the dns server ip if i cant find it on my win2k system i type in ipconfig and it says nothing under the dns area.
