I had thought 2000 was better but after fixing up all the bugging details.....XP is way ahead !!!!! Not all hardware and softwares have XP drivers ............so u might want to check that out first --- if u want to avaoid the troubles I had !!!!

<< i never buy OSes 😀 still legal though... there are plenty of legal ways to get free software. at least for me. i just installed it on a separate partition, to test it. i liked it so much that i decided to keep it. >>

I have a copy of XP and XP Office Developer from MS (I think is is useful for 90 or 180 days). I just never bothered to install it.

However, I am really satisfied with 98SE. After so much "tweaking" (over the first year after I got it), it NEVER crashes and I only need to do a reinstall maybe every 9 months. (I admit, after using it ALL day, it may get low on system resources - Win2K is superior in that regard).

But overall, I am very pleased with Win2K . . . it is going to take a LOT to switch me to XP Pro (perhaps when it drops to $68, I will finally buiy a copy). 🙂
