Why, and is there a way to make it boot faster?help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. *gasp* *cough* heeeeeeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeee.

What? I have three HDs in my system and notice no boot time increase because of it. I have a 10K SCSIU2W system disk, a 7.2K SCSIU2W disk I keep all my data files on and the page file, and an ATA66 disk for junk.

I dual boot using two hdds, one for win2k and the other win98, and both are IDE and i have noticed a definite slow down in booting win2k. Not sure why, but I just got used to it.

Two IBM 10K 9.1G LVD HDDs and no discernable slowdown in boot time (timed against Win98SE). Perhaps it's an IDE thang.

You need to tell more about your setup. Someone is bound to recognized the problem if you give the correct deyail of the problem.

it also happened on my abit BP6. Maybe cause they two hdd's are different speeds?

why don't you take one drive and see if it boot any faster. If it doesn't then it might be you NIC looking for DHCP server when booting.
