Win2k stop error message

I have no clue as to why I'm getting stop error messages so I need help trying to fix it. I get "Stop c000026c" with the file "emu10K1f.sys." I went to the knowledge base and found this page Here it is which describes how to fix it. I started up using the win2k setup disks and after about 10 minutes of loading things off of the four floppies it gets me to the setup page where I tell it to repair, but it can't find a Windows 2000 install (I know it's there cause I can always use safe mode to startup). So then I thought it was the Promise ATA100 and I needed to press F6, so I do that and I get nothing, it just ignores me and goes on with setup and again it doesn't work.

To make a long story short, anyone have experience using the emergency repair disks to fix stop error messages?

That is an sblive problem. I had this problem at one time. You have to completely uninstall the sblive drivers, then run regedit and get rid of references to the sblive software. Reboot - and instal the w2k native drivers and see if the problem goes away. Assuming everythign is working again, install the creative drivers at your own risk.

I would not use the setup disks in this situation.
