Hey I just finished reinstalling Win2k SPK3 and after dling and updating Win2k my machine no longer shuts down properly. Instead of shutting everything off it will only shut down the main HD while everything else continues to run, mobo, cpu, other drives, fans, ect. This was not a problem evern or during the reinstall process till like I said I dled and updated Win2k.

Is there a fix for 2k? I've never encoutered anything like this and can't find any info, thanks in advance for any help!

Which WindowsUpdates do you not have installed?

When is the last time you installed, changed, removed, etc. any hardware or software on this specific PC?

I have all the updates, including the updated windows drivers for my 3com enet adaptor and my Belkin enet adapter. The thing is it happened on my 40GB Barracuda IV so I Norton Ghosted over to a WD 80BB and sure enough the problem remained. So I started a fresh reinstall and sure enough it's fixed. Seems pretty weird, just guess the shutdown .dll must have been damaged somehow during one of the updates.
