Win2k SP4 screws network pooch?

Title says it all. I'm running on a USR broadband router/switch, and after I installed SP4 I could no longer access my Win98SE system or print from my Win2k system. All of my settings are the same as they were before installing SP4.

Also, I can ping the router and the Win98SE system. I just cannot access the drives (which are shared) or print through the switch (USR 8000 has a built in print server.)

From the 98 system, I can print and ping the switch/router, but cannot ping the Win2k system.

Anyone have similar problems after installing SP4?

You fail to tell us what the symptoms are.

It's like going to the doctor and saying, "I'm sick. Prescribe some medicine for me."

OK.

Basic network config = One Win2k system, one Win98SE system, USR switch/boardband router (using DHCP), print server built into switch.

Before installing SP4, I could access my Win2K shared drives from the Win98 system, and vice versa. Also, the printer is connected to the switch/router, and I could print from either system.

After installing SP4, I could not access the shared drives from either machine (ie, the Win2k system could not access the Win98 system and the Win98 system could not access the Win2k system). Also, I can no longer print from the Win2k system. The Win98 system has no problems printing.

I can ping both the router and the win98 system from the win2k system, but I can't ping the win2k system from the win98 system.

Does anyone know if Win2k SP4 changes some security or network settings? I can't find anything that has changed, but my network access has obviously changed.

I'm assuming you're using TCP/IP for File and Printer Sharing? If so, disable it, and use Netbeui instead. Should work even with SP4 on Win2k. I'm pretty sure SP4 does something to lock down anonymous shares.
