The computer used to be slow at shutdown, but deleting one of the pre- sp4 fixes solved that problem.
Now I've installed a tv card (leadtek winfast 2000xp) and despite using different sets of drivers....no luck. Still hangs.
In the hot deals forum, another AT'er is having the same problem. He's using Epox 8k7a, while I'm using Abit kg7. Both of us have the same chipset, and neither of us can figure this out.
Tried installing the TV card in a different pci slot, but only 1 reboot was a success before locking up ever since. Other guy had the same results.
Had the TV card installed w/ service pack #2, using the same software, and no problems.
Any ideas how to work around this, or troubleshoot this? Only other pci card is turtle beach sound card, and video card is radeon 7200.
Also, I can't roll back to service pack #2, as my installation was clean, followed by sp3. The system ran perfect for a month, until I introduced the TV card again.
Was thinking about the via 4in1 drivers. but I don't think I've ever installed them on this box. Should I? Or does the AMD half of the chipset get different drivers?
